【Title】The Research Of The Busbar Relay Trip Logic When Bus Coupler Current Abnormal In Smart Substation
【Abstract】In order to improve the operating performance of busbar relay in smart substation with SV sampling mode, all kinds of bus coupler current abnormality were analyzed and the optimized trip logic that bus coupler should be tripped instantly and faulty busbar should be tripped via 100ms/150ms delay was proposed. The issue that when bus coupler current abnormality (SV quality invalidity or SV test disaccording) happened, if inner fault of busbar that was not directly connected with the abnormal bus coupler occurred, busbar relay would trip the bus coupler circuit breaker with abnormal current instantly was analyzed, and the solution of regional differential protection with bias restraint characteristics as auxiliary criterion was proposed. Under that condition if bus coupler current abnormality was bus coupler CT disconnection, tripping the bus coupler with CT disconnection was more favorable. All these methods mentioned above was in favor of improving the selectivity of busbar relay tripping and the stability of power system when bus coupler current abnormal.
