【Title】Structural analyses and optimizations of fixed PV mount
【Abstract】PV mount is support of PV modules. In a photovoltaic plant, the amount of PV mounts is considerable. Therefore, few optimization in a unit of PV mount results in significant economic benefits. Also a proper mount will be conducive to construction and maintenance. However, the special literatures are rare until now. In this manuscript, three types of fixed PV mounts are presented firstly, and their characteristics under real load are summed up. It is observed that two-column mount with rigid base (TCMR) is economic and will simplify construction if pile foundation can be used. Furthermore, detailed study of TCMR is carried out. Parametric analyses on TCMR shows that interval of seat for beam is vital for force in beam and suggested layout of purlin and main beam is presented. Brace between beam and column can effectively reduce force in beam and column and is recommended to apply in PV mount.
